Hi, guys! What's up? 
It's still sweltering hot over here, but I made a lot of progress with the Castle's Gate Background! ^///^

Last week, I immediately started with coloring the stone gate--but after finishing it the first time, I compared it to the monkey statue in the forest background (for quality-control). I realized then that it feels a bit lacking so I took a step further with polishing:

It looks like a simple process, but oh boy, the small details were killing my hands 😂 staying true to the original design is quite difficult, but I managed somehow! I still need to tidy up the edges and the top part needs more refining but I think we're on the right track!

This week, I'm planning to take my time since my right hand is sore & cramping, but hopefully I can finish the gate this week! >:)

I've also made a rough sketch for the scenery behind the gate! The perspective is a bit tricky since it's an upward slanting road, but I've already consulted ErdaEnos and after we tweaked it, it's good to go! \(>u<)/
