Hi, guys! What's up? 
How did your week go? I was so busy mapping & making revisions for the Castle Gate background, 7 days just flew by 😂 

Most of the time, I was researching about ricefield--here, let me show you a sneak peek:

At first, I thought there would be water flowing between ricefields, but then I noticed how weird it looks on slanted ground/mountain. Later, I found out that ricefields on a mountain are usually stacked on top of each other, this method is called Terracing or Terasering in my country. Terraces consists of ridges and channels constructed across a slope. It's an efficient way to absorb + distribute rainwater, it also prevents erosion/flood. 

This week, I'm planning to slowly polish and refine the foliages. I don't want them to look too uniform so I need to make some wild flowers/plants and arrange them, along with some Palm Trees. I also just noticed that I need to adjust the ricefield color! They look lighter at the Main Village's background so I need to make them match.

Currently, this is the biggest background in the game, so please bear with me as I wrestle my way through the polishing stage >_< I hope to do well--the ricefield reminds me so much of Ghibli movies and I love their artstyle very much. This is my chance to try, learn, and be better at drawing nature!

Okay, I'll stop here before I start rambling about Ghibli movies  😂
