Update 21/3/2022

Hi guys, how did your week go? Mine was one hell of a ride and I'm afraid life is not done yet throwing me lemons :'D

So here's the situation of my house right now; more ceilings caved in since then and we have just finished cleaning the first floor. The construction workers are working hard to fix our second floor (which is a priority and still ongoing) so the first floor will have to wait. We can't seem to keep the first floor clean though--dust and rubble keeps falling off the ceilings in small amounts everytime they're working on the roof.

My mom and I got our hands full. We took turns watching over the workers and the the doggos. The workers are all muslims and while Kiara, my husky, is a sweetheart; Juno, my mix-pinscher, can be really loud and he really scared the workers lol. He thought our house is getting invaded and he took it upon himself to 'guard' the house.

With all of our furniture covered in plastic sheets for protection and people constantly walking back and forth, it's really hard for me to work on Bermuda... Not to mention the background noises and the smoke from cigar are getting me headaches Q_Q

After thinking for a long time and finding out that no time/place is secure enough for me to do programming/drawing, I've decided with a heavy heart to put Bermuda's progress on hold for now... I apologize for the inconvenience *bows* m(_ _)m

For my patrons on Patreon, I will understand if you want to temporarily stop your pledges and continue your support when I start working again, but if you still decide to support me, I will gratefully accept it and the fund I receive this month will be used to help paying the cost to fix the roof >_<)/ My mom said it might take 2-3 weeks to fix our house--probably around Mid April?

Either way, I'd like to thank you all for your support! The days are rough but reading your comments always made me feel better :'D

Oh and while I'm not working on Bermuda, I'll keep you updated about my house, okay? At the very least, I'll let you know that I'm still here and fighting to start working again ASAP :'3

xoxo,

SweetChiel

Poor little fellas are tired after the flood incident and we're sleeping together now until the ceilings are fixed! Families should stick together, right? -^.^-

Hi, Chiel, thank you for the good work. It's no problem, life is unpredictable like that. Hope this will be resolved soon. Btw, how about you give us pictures of your doggos every week as well? πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Thanks, Kris QuQ
And that's a good idea! I think I have more than enough to show you until the roof is fixed x'D

aw, the poor babies. I'm sure you're just as tired I'm glad you're taking time off to get everything straightened out.

Thanks, girlygumdrop! The doggos and I are doing our best not to disturb the workers every day lol but yeah, we're hanging in there~

Those dogs are absolutely adorable! I pray for your situation to be solved fast and you to be save and sound.

Also, let's not be prejudiced about others before knowing them ^_^

I don't think Chiel was being prejudiced just by mentioning something all the workers have in common. If anything, blame the dog for being prejudiced, they're the one trying to scare the poor people away. lol

Thank you for helping me clearing that up, girlygumdrop~

Thanks, mif4n! Yeah, I also hope things will settle down without any problems. It's kinda scary because pebbles keep dropping from the ceilings everytime they're working on the roof--feels like we're in a horror movie or smth x'D

I'm not sure what you mean with being prejudiced? o.o; is it because I write the workers are muslims? If yes, I only mentioned it so everyone will know why I must take care of the doggos >< the workers are giving their best and risking their lives up there. If anything I respect them! Their religion/belief isn't something to judge upon but if my words offend some of you, I do apologize *bows* m(_ _)m

But girlygumdrop is right lol, my dogs, especially Juno, is always prejudiced with every new people who approaches the house πŸ˜‚

Sorry if I made you sweat. *bows* m(_ _)m

I didn't want to sound negative. >< It just felt out of place that you mentioned religion of the workers out of the blue. Sorry again. Also, the dogs are not to blame for anything. They are just being dogs and doing their duty xD

Take your time. I hope the muslim workers are fine with the dogs, for the dogs and your sake.

Thanks, Amberbaum! So far, the workers are doing great job~ sometimes there would be comical scenes where Juno got out of my grasp/slipped out from my room and scared them but no one gets hurt because Juno is all bark and no bite πŸ˜‚

We laughed it off later. The workers are all kind and understanding~
